Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC) where the 1st International Women in Business Convention was held. Organised by the USAHANITA (Persatuan Usahawan Wanita Bumiputera Malaysia / Association of Bumiputra Women Entrepreneurs Malaysia), this convention successfully made its way through the whole 3 days.
The opening ceremony held on the 25th October, officiated by the Malaysia Prime Minister's Wife, YABhg Datuk Seri Utama Rosmah binti Mansor via video recording.
Not to be missed, YAB Datuk Seri Hj Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rustam, the Chief Minister of Melaka attended all 3 days of the convention without fail. Amazed all the participants and attendees with his impromptu speech on the first day during the Business Forum, his knowledge on the development of Melaka were outstanding.
The key speaker for the convention during the Business Luncheon Talk, the Malaysia former Prime Minister, YABhg Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad who is currently the Honorary President of Perdana Leadership Foundation with the topic of Mindset Change of Women SMEs in Facing Globalization.
The Gala Dinner held on the night of the second day with the theme of "Connectivity Through Diversity". The ceremony of passing Baton to Indonesia as a second country for the next WBC conducted during the dinner.
Special performance and appearance by the Malaysia well-known singer, Ning Baizura.
YAB Datuk Seri Hj Ali Rustam officiate the closing ceremony of the convention.
